October 31, 2020 - 20th anniversary of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 "Women, Peace, Security"

Twenty years ago, the United Nations Security Council passed Resolution 1325, recognising that women and girls are affected by conflict in unique ways, and that women play an important role in preventing and resolving conflicts.

#NATO has taken the principles of Women, Peace and Security (#WPS) and applied them to all that we do – from integrating gender perspectives in all our work, to promoting the inclusion of women in Allied and partner armed forces, as well as in our civilian staff.

Join NATO in celebrating the 20th anniversary of Resolution 1325 on 31 October, and in the next NATO Digital Dialogue on Gender and Technology on 5 November – part of a series of events on how the WPS agenda should evolve as we continue to make our Alliance more equal and inclusive under the NATO 2030 initiative.
